Hi to all: Comments on the Achievement for What Framework: Well I don’t mean to be nit-picky, but the mention of the No Child Left Behind act in our into seems a bit out of context when it is being compared to The National Defense Education Act of 1958. It’s just that The No Child Left Behind Act is calling for all students to be reading, and it is kind of like a baseline goal for our schools. It’s about accountability of schools within our nation and I believe it was not implemented in a political spirit. It’s more of a progressive movement in the area of special education than a competitive more towards global domination. We may need a little bit of rewording if everyone can agree on it. I hope that we can have one more chance to go over the whole framework again because is seems like there was a sudden development of really great ideas at the end (meaning the last class session). Time was not working in our favor I guess. I think the paper sounds great and I am proud of our work.
