The learning and teaching large classes (LTLC) community was founded in the spring of 2004. The community is dedicated to the improvement of instruction and the learning process for students in large undergraduate classes (classes with an enrollment of greater than 70 students). Our group is particularly interested in the incorporation of cooperative and active learning in such large groups.

LTLC is currently looking at the use of technology in the classroom and the potential benefits to our undergraduates. In 2004 we are primarily concentrating on the use of the classroom performance system and SMART board technology (in particular the sympodium technology which is not limited by a particular screen size).
