Portraits of Practice

Portraits of Practice, faculty case studies in action, is a series of brown bag lunch discussions, presentations, and / or hands-on sessions offered throughout the academic year.  A central theme is chosen each semester and topics are chosen to support the theme. The fall 2003 theme is focused on Building Communities.

Reappointment/Tenure/Promotion

The fpdc offers a variety of resources for faculty going through either the reappointment, tenure or promotion process.  Support is offered through workshops, consultations, and  resource materials available in the fpdc studio.

Special Events

Each year the fpdc hosts or co-hosts special events on a variety of engaging topics.  The annual Moulton Hall Multimedia Open House, presentations on Copyright & Plagiarism and Working with the Press are just a few. If you would like to discuss a special event with us, we welcome your ideas and requests.

Women in Scholarship & Education

Women in Scholarship and Education (WIS&E) is a series of brown bag lunch presentations and discussions held in the fpdc.  These events provide the KSU community the opportunity to learn of the scholarly work being conducted by women at Kent State University, whether they be faculty, graduate students, staff or administrators.
